Involvement of new strategies in video poker has always been interesting thing to learn and master. It also gives a twist of interest and challenge to the player and to him; the winnings seem worth all the effort and toil.

Top of the line strategy in video poker is called the 'Aces and Faces' strategy. This strategy is useful for some specific payouts / paybacks. You are needed to possess a pair of jacks and if you don't have a pair then you can trade your five cards again so you might be lucky enough to end up with a pair in the next handout.

Sometimes you have better chances through this strategy as you might end up with two kings and maybe a ten, a seven and a two. Your task is to turn in those three cards so that you might end up with another pair and this gives you additional edge.

The battle for highest value hands will go on forever and this strategy has given a new sense of challenge and competition to video poker. Players would keep on trying to improve their hands with pairs and each pair has a different payout criterion.

No one wants to have a poor hand in video poker so sometimes players turn in their cards again and follow a risky path, just to end up with chances of getting at least one pair.
